Dutch Woven Sintered Wire Mesh is often used as the filtration mesh in systems for the filtration of ballast water in marine technology. Our sintered wire mesh products made of corrosion resistant Type 904L Stainless Steel or 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel can be used in self-cleaning automatic sea water filters that are incorporated into these ballast water management systems (BWMS). We offer these filters in a wide range of micron ratings, lengths, and diameters, with configurations including perforated metal.
Use of Type 904L Stainless Steel or 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel metal meshes allows the strict requirements in terms of filtration quality to be met, while also handling the highly corrosive environment. Regenerability is a plus for the wire mesh and the use of high-alloy materials such as duplex, super duplex or nickel-based materials allows for a long life and continued operation of the cartridge filters.
